Calling REAL Journalists: The HuffPost Wants You, Not That Content Churner

Call me crazy, but this may actually be a step away from the “AOL Way”.

Peter Goodman, Huffington Post Tech and Business Editor:

We can’t replace professional journalism with an ad hoc blogging arrangement….we don’t want to confuse professional journalists with bloggers.

Shot to the heart for bloggers. But hey, Leena Rao speculates that the “non-professionals” may be content churners…the ones meeting the demands of the “AOL Way”.

The definitions and main differences between “real journalists” and “bloggers” has never been more blurry. Journalists and bloggers could talk about it until they are blue in the face, and no actual consensus would ever be reached. But the HuffPost took a step in defining the difference that should be debated and thoughtfully considered.
